Role:

To effectively manage, facilitate and coordinate the department’s international relations, engagements and cooperation agreements.

Functions:

To manage, facilitate and coordinate implementation of programmes to:

• prepare for and negotiate international multi-lateral sustainable development and environment agreements and cooperation;

• prepare for and negotiate DEA’s International Governance, South-South, South-North, bilateral and African foreign relations and cooperation related to sustainable development, environmental and tourism projects and programmes;

• provide DEA with international relations support services.

Ms Judie Combrink

Role:

To manage the provision of specialist international support services and the overall administration function of the Unit in the Office of the Head: Specialist Unit: International Cooperation through the establishment and maintenance of systems and procedures for communication, information, work flow, planning, project administrative monitoring, reporting, correspondence and document management and all general administrative activities within the unit.

To manage and coordinate international multilateral governance relations, cooperation and related resource mobilisation. Provide high-level policy advice, guidance and technical support in the area of international environmental governance.

Mr Stuart Mangold (Senior Policy Advisor)

Functions:

To manage and coordinate international multilateral governance relations, cooperation and related resource mobilisation. Provide high-level policy advice, guidance and technical support in the area of international environmental governance.

Ms Noluzuko Gwayi (Senior Policy Advisor)

Functions:

To manage, plan, coordinate and lead the South Africa's engagement in multi-lateral chemicals, waste and related international cooperation.

Mr Tlou Ramaru (Senior Policy Advisor)

Functions:

To manage, plan, coordinate and lead the South Africa's engagement in multi-lateral sustainable development and environmental sector trade agreements and related international cooperation.
