Experience |
- Started working as a gender fieldworker for the
Border Rural Committee (a Land and Rural Development
NGO based in East London). Moved to rural local government
policy research and ended up managing the programme
for the Border Rural Committee.
- Appointed as chairperson of the Amatola District
Council, and in July 1997 assumed the position of
chief executive officer for the District Council.
Held the position of CEO until the change in local
government dispensation. Appointed as a local electoral
officer for the Independent Electoral Commision for
the 1999 national and provincial elections, as well
as the local government elections in 2000 -- resigned
in December 2001.
- Appointed Municipal Manager of the Amatola District
Municipality in April 2001 until the end of December
2001.
- Appointed Executive Manager: Biodiversity and Conservation
January 2002.
