| The last decade has seen a
number of forces combining to fundamentally change economic development in the CMA, giving
it the edge over the more established growth regions in Gauteng, the Eastern Cape and
Natal. The CMA has been able to utilise its unique physical advantages to capitalise on
increased foreign investor interest and the growth of the tourism industry. Spectacular
