Maps and Graphics

A collection of maps, graphics and diagrams, illustrating environmental issues are available for download. Images are available in various format: *.GIF, *.JPG, etc. These images (to be posted soon) may be used freely for educational or non-profit purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the Department of Environmental Affiars and Tourism and to the original data source(s).

GIS data sets

Several GIS data sets are available for printing and/or download. GIS data set consist of georeferenced (geo) graphical features which are linked to an attribute database that describes features or polygons on the map. These dataset are produced using ARC/INFO (for both PC and Unix), and ARC/VIEW software. These datasets may be used freely for educational or non-profit purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism and to the original data source(s).

ENPAT

The Environmental Potential Atlas (ENPAT) series is a collection of environmental, social and economic GIS data sets on national and provincial levels. These atlasses are avialable form the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.
