DRAFT POLICY ON THE ALLOCATION OF EXPERIMENTAL PERMITS IN THE OCTOPUS FISHERY

The Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism has released a draft policy on the allocation of experimental octopus fishing permits.

Members of the public are hereby invited to submit written comments on this draft policy. The draft policy is available at www.environment.gov.za. Hard copies are available at the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism: Branch Marine and Coastal Management, 7th Floor, Foretrust Building, Martin Hammerschlag Way, Foreshore Cape Town.

Members of the public must submit written comments by no later than 16h00 on 12 November 2003. Comments should be titled as follows:

Draft Octopus Policy: 2003
The Deputy Director-General: Marine and Coastal Management

Comments may be:
