Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism

MONDAY, 07 MAY 2007: The Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism published the Threatened or Protected Species Regulations, developed in terms of National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act (Act 10 of 2004), on 23 February 2007. The regulations will come into effect on 01 February 2008.

In preparation for the implementation of the regulations the department will be convening information sessions to ensure that all stakeholders, including the general public are adequately informed about the implementation of the regulations in order to comply.

The information sessions will take place at the following venues and dates:
