Minister Edna Molewa to launch the Kwelera National Botanical Garden

The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa, will officially open the Kwelera National Botanical Garden in East London, Eastern Cape on Tuesday, 30 September 2014.

The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) manages nine national botanical gardens spread across six provinces within South Africa and has just added the Kwelera National Botanical Garden to the list. The Kwelera National Botanical Garden will become South Africa’s tenth Botanical Garden, and the first in the Eastern Cape.

The Minister will be joined by other principals to celebrate the launch of the garden.
