Environmental Affairs launches South African Atmospheric Emission Licensing and Inventory Portal (SAAELIP) in Bloemfontein

The Department of Environmental Affairs will launch the South African Atmospheric Emission Licensing & Inventory Portal (SAAELIP) on 30 September in Bloemfontein.
The launch forms part of the 10th Annual Air Quality Governance Lekgotla. The three day conference was opened by Deputy Minister of Environmental Affairs, Ms Barbara Thomson on Monday, 28 September 2015 at the President Hotel in Bloemfontein, Free State.
The theme of the 2015 Air Quality Governance Lekgotla is “Launching Air Quality Management Systems for Transparent Governance and Improved Service Delivery.
The South African Atmospheric Emission Licensing & Inventory Portal (SAAELIP) – is an online portal that will revolutionise air quality management in the country for both the regulator and the regulated community. Licensing and reporting of emissions will be done online.
